MARCH 2019: Jose Castello, author of Canids of the World, listed The Secret World of Red Wolves as one of his five favorite dog books in an interview with FiveBooks.com. This was particularly touching to me, because a.) I have his book on my desk and love thumbing through the pictures, and b.) he also listed Dogs: Their Fossil Relatives and Evolutionary Origins by Xiaming Wang, which was one of my favorite reads when I was researching the evolutionary origins of coyotes for my book!
